About container-based sanitation
Container-based sanitation is a service well suited to hard-to-reach contexts that provides standalone toilets and regularly collects the waste in sealed containers to be safely treated, disposed of or reused. Learn more in our implementation guide.

CBS is a cost-effective form of safely managed sanitation that typically requires a lower initial investment compared to constructing a latrine or pour flush toilet.
